Use this vintage pattern to knit a stole. Knits up quickly! Color image scanned from 1960 catalog. Originally made using sport-weight yarn, Mary Maxim Mellowspun or Mellowmist, which had 420 yards per 4-oz skein. You can find Mary Maxim Mellowspun and all the current sport-weight yarns here. Keep in mind, yardage varies. Materials List: 6 oz sport weight yarn, and knitting needles size 11 (8 mm). Approx. 60" (152 cm) completed. 

Stitch Requirements: Knit, purl, stockinette stitch, increase, decrease, repeat, slip stitch, through the back loop, repeat, place marker.
